I am eating left-overs from Cafe Asia today. I got a bowl of soup there yesterday, courtesy of our boss and it was, literally, bigger than my face. Today I am eating the left over from that and I can tell you right now that one of the ingredients is fish sauce. How do I know this? Three of my companions, while I was a missionary either hailed from, or were ancestrally linked to, south-east asia and I learned to love fish sauce as a consequence. Also, once when we were moving houses in Ogden (a common occurence for the Sheridan women) I put some condiments in the car (more on that later) and my wild and crazy driving (not really that willd and crazy since we were only moving 5 blocks down the street....) resulted in spilt fish sauce. That is a thing you never, ever, ever forget. That car probably still smells of it.
So, here's the latest scoop on the Sheridan women. Not all of is are in Utah anymore. I (your narrator, Laura) am currently living in Falls Church, Virginia. For anyone who is not aware, that is four miles (give or take) from Washington, D.C. The Utah contingent have gotten a new drive way and some fabulous landscaping in the front of the house, a very exciting development indeed. I have been sick for almost 5 days now and though I sound sick, I am doing so much better! I have some pictures of the driveway that Jennie sent me so I am going to attempt putting them in the post. We shall see.....
